A series of comic strips based on a short horror story called Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, written by Richard Matheson in the early 1960s, which has inspired the style of Leeam’s work. The comic strips tell a visual and wordless version of this story, made with black and white inks to recreate an early 60s television aesthetic. This includes other indications of the time period, like objects and fashion sense. Afterwards, Leeam played around with panel positions and sizes to try out more effective and dramatic ways to tell a story. This emphasises the mood and reactions of the characters.
