Me You Everyone Else

If I never had to learn English, how might my visual language have developed? Is the question that
was the catalyst for this final major project. Laura uses illustration as a tool for communication,
using abstract shapes and the play between negative and positive space. To represent things that
aren’t physical. Like conversations, feelings within a d(D)eaf context. Using imagery to try and
explain what it is like to be d(D)eaf in todays society, and dispel the ignorance around hearing loss.
