Jessica’s work responds to stigma around twenty first century ‘untraditional’ women. This involves women who play with the line of sex or are a part of a modern subculture post 1960s. As we have evolved, the perception we all have on females has to, but some still stick into their old ways. As individuality is an important part within Jessica’s practice, she wants to highlight how individuality shouldn’t be looked down upon with women and make them question their sexuality, morals or their careers. Tattoo culture is a strong influence currently with Jessica’s practice and is developing towards a final portfolio where she can hopefully take up a career within the tattoo industry. Other than this, she also aims to lessen stigma surrounding the relationship between women and tattoos.
