Emily Sellick

Emily’s research and final outcome for unit BA3b has been the result of the exploration of metamorphosis within the animal kingdom, focusing on the butterfly and its transformation. Her general work often starts as detailed, coloured pencil drawings, but these are often altered digitally to adapt to different briefs. Recently, she has been influenced by textiles and the product of this has almost been entirely pattern based. Continuing from her previous project, she has printed her illustrations onto fabrics. By creating soft furnishings, it reflects the concept of making her work decorative yet functional.
