The majority of David’s work is illustration for the purpose of children’s books. In this unit, David worked towards submissions for the Carmelite and Macmillan Prizes. This consisted of Illustrating for two Children’s Books, “Where the Sea Meets the Sky” by Peter Bently and “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll.
David’s art is inspired by photographs that he take and by the work of other artists. His illustrations can vary in style, from cartoon-like to realistic, depending on the text that he is portraying. David uses graphite pencil and acrylic paint to create his illustrations.
