Bryony Meller

As an illustrator, Bryony’s practice is defined by my love of animals and the natural world. Inspired by human interaction with other species she seeks to uncover the relationships between humans and animals, what separates us, and what makes us seek ourselves within nature. Through creating human animal hybrids in her latest project, ‘Brachycephalic’, Bryony hopes to engage with the more damaging aspects of our obsession with our domesticated animal family members. This display calls into question why our pursuit of breeding dogs with human-esque features treads the boundary between the comical and the horrifying.
